The City informs LAN that the MDEQ will not require “full softening” through the use of lime and soda ash, and that the City will only do that which was required by the MDEQ. LAN expresses concern about this decision and reasserts its recommendation that there be a 60-90 day test run of FWTP before going on-line to allow the City to evaluate the need for full softening, phosphate or other chemical additives and overall water quality.
